As Manager, Program, Ariel implements programmatic services and designs high-quality, research-based, and user-centered professional learning services, tools, and resources to improve teaching and learning and advance educational equity for and with our school system partners.
Ariel has over thirteen years of experience in education. He began his career as a 2nd-grade teacher before moving up to teach 9th-grade AP Human Geography. He then became an Assistant Principal of Instruction, coaching and managing teachers in Social Studies, Math, Art, and PE. He spent one year as a Principal in Residence before joining Pearson as a Social Studies Assessment Specialist, which was his last stop before joining the Teaching Lab team.
Outside of work, Ariel loves spending time with his wife and daughter. They enjoy nature walks, movies in the park, and game nights. When not with family, Ariel enjoys playing guitar, listening to podcasts and music, playing D&D with friends, and reading
