Leading Educational Equity: Join Our Teacher Advisory Board Today!

by Maria Kathleen Villanueva

Are you an impact-driven educator who is deeply invested in Teaching Lab’s mission of educational equity, or do you know someone who embodies these qualities?

We highly encourage you to join Teacher Advisory Board, a diverse network of educators if you are committed to contribute your Head, Heart, Habits, and Equity to the team.

In working towards culturally responsive-sustaining education and teacher support, we believe in the power of teacher’s voices and how that can translate into high-quality professional learning and instructional materials.

Why Should I Join the Teacher Advisory Board?

By being a member of the Teacher Advisory Board, you will engage in user-centered design sessions to enhance products and address systemic challenges towards educational equity. This can be possible through identifying significant curricular or instructional advances with Teaching Lab by user-testing of tools, providing content feedback, brainstorming, and user interviews.

Prospective members will indicate their interest to join and share their key demographic information to best match with engagement opportunities. These engagements can consist of 5-7 hours of asynchronous or synchronous activities and will be compensated for successful completion of tasks.

With our commitment to network building and fellowship, members can opt to join monthly community gathering spaces planned by Teaching Advisory Board ambassadors. This space will nurture the members’ experience by supporting growth and development through extensive learning opportunities.

Join us in leading educational equity and shaping K-12 education, applications are open now until August 16.
