As Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, Brian leads employer branding efforts, develops and implements talent acquisition plans and processes, and serves as a partner to hiring managers to support the recruitment of contractor positions to ensure that Teaching Lab continues to attract and hire talented, mission- and values-aligned team members.

Prior to joining Teaching Lab, Brian worked as the Recruitment Manager for the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles, where he was responsible for developing strategic talent acquisition efforts for a large, multi-division agency. He worked directly with government officials and hiring managers throughout the state to ensure the DMV was fully staffed in order to support critical public services. Brian has also worked in various recruitment leadership positions at the University of Virginia, Old Dominion University, Tidewater Community College, and H&M (Hennes and Mauritz).

Brian also volunteers with various philanthropic organizations, such as Equality Virginia, the LGBT Life Center, Samaritan House, the NAACP, and the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance. He mentors a small team of underrepresented non-binary college students in order to prepare them for the post-college job market. Brian is very passionate about diversity recruiting and is viewed as a senior leader throughout the talent acquisition community. He also enjoys reading screenplays, collecting artwork, studying trends in pop culture, and raising his two dogs.
