Prior to Teaching Lab, Dionne has served as an educator for 16 years. Her career began as an elementary teacher. During the matriculation of her career, Dionne has had the opportunity to impact both student and teacher growth as Mentor and Master teacher, Adult Education teacher, Site Coordinator, Professional Learning Leader, Grade Level Team Lead, Instructional Coach, and Curriculum Specialist.

Dionne has also served her community as a public servant after being elected as a Town Alderwoman in her home town of White Castle, LA. In working for her community, volunteerism was no stranger as she supported the local youth during summer camp, engaged in multiple public service tasks such as food and clothing drives, community Black History Programs, and various fund raising events for the different organizations within the community.

Dionne enjoys cooking, hosting family and friends, a great house party, traveling, and spontaneous adventures with her gal pals.
