October 26, 2022- November 16, 2022

Series Description

Teaching Lab has partnered with edsUP to deliver the HQIM Selection Fellowship via a unique learning experience: marrying the best of a competency-based approach with adaptive learning content, together with expert support and guidance from Teaching Lab.

Do you have influence over state, regional, or district instructional materials selection and adoption? Is your school/district planning to select and adopt materials, now, soon, or in the spring semester? Are you interested in creating an air-tight selection process that results in a HQIM selection with stakeholder excitement and engagement?

We will help you create a thorough and inclusive plan that is right for your educational context!

Series Objectives

  • Head.

Understand and communicate the importance of high-quality instructional materials.
Differentiate between aligned & unaligned instructional materials.

  • Heart.

Collaborate and learn with other educators to build a community of practice, reflection, and growth.

  • Habits.

Develop a cohesive plan that shifts the paradigm of traditional material-adoption processes.

Here is what past participants of our selection and adoption fellowship courses have said:

"[This course]... validated that we are on the right track; I am most excited about having help to create an action plan to help us follow an effective process for selecting HQIM"

"We currently do not have HQIM in our district. Having the opportunity to unpack and understand high-quality instructional materials was eye-opening and served as fuel to be more of an advocate for our students, teachers, and administrators in getting the resources our students deserve."

"Loads of new learning and material were presented. Great care was taken to provide the material in digestible chunks that can be revisited in some way."
