Dr. Jennifer Reiter-Cook
With over 20 years of experience in the education sector, I am a passionate and dedicated leader who strives to create positive and lasting impact for students, teachers, and communities. In my current role as Director of Education and School Development at Comp Therapy, I provide insight on the strategy, operations, and advocacy for the charter school movement in California, working with multiple stakeholders to ensure quality, equity, and accountability. Additionally, I support charter schools with their collaborative and inclusive practices. I bring my expertise and insights as a fieldwork supervisor at the University of San Diego, where I mentor and train aspiring and current educators in the fields of special education and general education.
I received my B.S. in Elementary Education from St. Joseph’s University, my M.Ed. in Special Education from the University of San Diego, and my Ed.D. in Leadership Studies from the University of San Diego. My core competencies are leadership, collaboration, innovation, and communication. I believe that every child deserves access to a high-quality and personalized education that meets their unique needs and aspirations. I am a mom to a senior at the University of San Diego and a junior at a charter high school, and have been married to my charter teacher husband for over 24 years.
