Jenny Silva
Jennifer Silva is an experienced CEO and entrepreneur with a strong background in marketing, ecommerce and marketplaces. She was the CEO of Sheet Music Plus, the leading online sheet music retailer. She led the sale of the company in 2017 to its largest supplier, Hal Leonard, and transitioned the operations (distribution and customer service) to its headquarters in the Midwest. Jennifer sat on the board of the company, which had a sizable equity investment from the private equity firm, Sverica. She previously founded Hearing Science, a chain of audiology and hearing aid practices and Sign Up For Camp (now ActivityHero), a marketplace for kids after school activities and summer camps.
Since leaving Sheet Music Plus, Jennifer has become involved in housing, education and racial justice. She is the Board Chair for the Marin Environmental Housing Collaborative. (MEHC), which advocates for more affordable and environmentally friendly housing. She is a co-founder of the Racial Equity Playbook, a free resource to help organizations improve diversity, equity and inclusion. Jennifer serves or has served on the boards of The Oxbow School, the Redwood High School PTSA, the Tam High School PTSA, PATH (Patrons of the Arts at Tam High, MEHC, the YPO Gold NorCal Chapter and Kids Cooking for Life, a non-profit organization that teaches low-income children how to cook.
She has a BS and MBA from Stanford University. She is an avid skier and bike rider, and lives in Sausalito, California with her husband.
