Before joining the Teaching Lab, Kajal spent eight years at the Relay Graduate School of Education. She was the founding Director of Operations for Relay's Washington, DC teacher preparation campus and then the Director of Partnerships for Relay's Professional Education programs, where she managed partnerships with districts, state agencies, and funders across the country. She began her journey in education as a College Advisor at a high school in Detroit.

Kajal is pursuing a Master of Public Administration degree at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.

Kajal lives just outside of Detroit, MI. She loves spending time with her family and friends and can be found trying new restaurants in Detroit, exploring nearby trails, or practicing yoga.
