The learning experience will support district, system, and teacher leaders to understand and communicate the importance of high-quality instructional materials, differentiate between aligned & unaligned instructional materials, develop a cohesive plan that shifts the paradigm of traditional material-adoption processes, and collaborate and learn with other educators to build a community of practice, reflection, and growth.
This course is designed to support leaders with establishing the enabling conditions necessary to support teacher instructional practices that promote a student-centered approach to learning with a focus on students’ unique cultural identities and skill sets that encourage academic achievement, cultural competence, and sociopolitical consciousness.
