Maddie's career in education began in higher education in student life, university admissions, athletics, and teaching. After a 7 year stint in higher education she accepted a volleyball head coaching role at her Alma Mater in Corpus Christi, Texas. While coaching volleyball she developed a passion for teaching mathematics. She began taking on roles in curriculum writing and mentoring other teachers. She then accepted a role with KIPP Texas Public Schools as a Secondary Math Achievement Specialist. She moved to Houston, Texas and began coaching and mentoring teachers and administrators in mathematics teaching. Her passion for the classroom and student success increased as she took on larger roles in education. She comes to Teaching Lab eager to have a greater impact on more teachers, administrators, and students in the United States.

Maddie's passion for education began in athletics, specifically volleyball. She continues coaching youth sports in Houston while also being an advocate for Triumph Over Kid Cancer.

Maddie has a passion for traveling the world and being immersed into cultures different from her own. Her favorite country visited thus far has been Ecuador along with the Galapagos Islands. She enjoys catching as many Astros games as possible. Aside from travel and sports, she is a true Swiftie that strives to always live her best life!
