Michele Morenz is a Partnership Manager at Teaching Lab, specializing in early literacy (K-5). Since 2020, Michele has supported large-scale literacy initiatives, using data to inform responsive support that moves districts towards the equitable and effective implementation of high-quality literacy curricula and aligned instructional practices.

She has supported initiatives in Chicago Public Schools, Cleveland Metro School District, the state of California, and southwest Tennessee. Prior to joining Teaching Lab, Michele spent time in a variety of roles focused on supporting districts and schools in shifting their reading ecosystems towards equitable literacy practices.

Michele’s 16- year career in education includes roles as an elementary teacher, teacher leader, instructional coach, district literacy specialist, and learning facilitator. She has over a decade of experience working and teaching within the EL Education model, and she specializes in supporting schools and districts to implement the EL Education Modules and Skills Block. Michele is passionate about early literacy and a fierce advocate for teachers.
