Prior to becoming a part of the Teaching Lab community, Portia has held a range of instructional roles throughout New York City, including Special Educator, Assistant Principal, Principal in Residence, and Professor. Throughout her career, Portia has remained passionate and committed to doing her part to facilitate educational equity in the communities that she has served.

Portia enjoys traveling and spending time with with loved ones.
