Robert Okun

Robert Okun is a retired Senior Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Oak Hill Advisors, where he was responsible for the firm’s overall investment strategy and portfolio management for nearly two decades.

Mr. Okun was a 2019 Harvard University Fellow at the Advanced Leadership Initiative, a university-wide social impact fellowship. His focus was on the inequality of opportunities and educational outcomes in the U.S.

Mr. Okun is passionate about finance and investing, educational opportunities, and social justice issues. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR), the Dean’s Leadership Council at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE), the Board of Trustees of Congregation B’nai Torah, the National Board of Directors of Summer Search and the Board of Directors of Teaching Lab. He received an A.B. degree in Economics and Psychology from Stanford University.
