Zanayia Legrand spent 10 years teaching exceptional students at the charter and district level in both New York and South Carolina. She also spent 3 out of those 10 years as an ELA and Math instructional coach for teachers serving as an academic and grade level dean. During her teaching in South Carolina she also served as a Special educational coordinator for students and leaders. She has an extensive background in special education and ensuring an equitable learning experience for all students using high quality instructional materials.

Zanayia hold her Masters in Special education and General education. She also holds a dual certification in General Education and Teaching Students with disabilities 1-6.

Zanayia is a Staten Island native, she also spent her youth as a collegiate athlete. She enjoys most spending with her toddler son who teaches her something new daily.
