Who Gets to Shape Professional Learning?

Too often, teachers aren’t in the room when PL gets built. Teaching Lab’s Teacher Advisory Board is changing that. Here’s how.

It’s a question worth asking: who actually shapes the professional learning that teachers receive?

Too often, the answer doesn’t include teachers themselves.

Teaching Lab’s Teacher Advisory Board exists to change that. TAB members aren’t reviewers. They’re builders — collaborating directly with our team to shape the materials and professional development that reach educators across the country.

Hear from one TAB member on why that seat at the table matters.

Who Is TAB?

TAB is made up of teachers, instructional coaches, and school leaders who reflect the backgrounds, subject areas, and community contexts of our district partners nationwide.

They’re not a rubber stamp. They’re collaborators — helping ensure that what we put into the hands of educators is meaningful, grounded, and built for the classroom.
