If you like interacting with others online and making new Twitter friends or expanding your network of educators and parents, you will like the upcoming #MathMattersChat with Isis Spann. Scheduled for Thursday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m. EST, the #MathMattersChat will delve into the topic of math education as it intersects with social justice, emotional development, and harmful dominant culture teaching practices.

We will host this chat with Isis Spann, who is a current Teaching Lab Teacher Advisory Board member, and elementary educational coach and consultant. She works with educational leaders and organizations on a national level, and she is a dedicated mother of 4 to Nia, Mia, Liara, and Princeton. She is also the wife to her number one fan Terry Spann Jr., and resides in South Carolina. She has been an educator for the past decade, and released “Nia’s Purpose”, a children's book highlighting her daughter who is conquering cerebral palsy in 2020. She is also the CEO of FUNdamentals of Learning, LLC, and creator of Kindergarten Kounts. Mrs. Spann believes that every child is a genius, every family is an asset, and every educator plants a seed that they may never see bloom.
